Frequently Asked Questions

  • All sessions are offered through a HIPPA compliant, online platform. You can access the platform through any device you prefer.

    • Convenience: Join sessions from the comfort of your home, office, or even while traveling.

    • Flexibility: Online therapy makes it easier to schedule appointments that fit into busy lives.

    • Comfort: Many people feel more relaxed opening up in familiar surroundings.

    • Privacy: No waiting rooms or concerns about running into someone you know.

    • Continuity: Life happens—weather, transportation issues, or travel don’t have to interrupt your care.

  • I like to start where you feel comfortable. I do not require a long intake form before treatment starts as I find they often are overwhelming to complete. Within the first few sessions we will likely cover the main areas of focus, and from there, will develop a care plan together.

  • This is extremely variable based on each client’s needs and care plan. That being said, research shows that many clients begin to notice meaningful change within the first 5–10 sessions of therapy, with continued improvement over the following months. About half of clients experience significant progress by around session 8, and most show lasting benefits within 3–6 months, especially with consistent engagement.

With all the additional support, check-ins, personalized resources and accountability built into my Continuous Care Therapy Plans, progress can be greatly accelerated.

  • No, I do not work with Insurance

Choosing a private, fee-for-service model (instead of going through insurance) may feel unfamiliar at first, but there are important benefits for you as a client:

    1. Complete Privacy & Confidentiality

    • Insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis and detailed treatment notes to authorize sessions.

    • Without insurance, your records remain private between you and me—nothing is shared with third parties.

    • This can feel especially important if you’re concerned about future employment, life insurance, or just protecting your personal story.

    2. Freedom from Labels

    • You don’t need to be given a medicalized diagnosis just to get care.

    • Our work can focus on your goals, your growth, and your unique experience—not a code in a system.

    3. Tailored Care, Not “Check the Box” Care

    • Insurance restricts session length, number of visits, and types of therapy they will cover.

    • In a private model, we decide what works best for you—whether that’s longer sessions, messaging between sessions, hypnotherapy, EFT, or integrative mind-body approaches.

    • We can focus on whole-person care, not just what an insurance plan will pay for.

    4. Flexible & Responsive Support

    • You get more options than a once-a-week, 50-minute session.

    • Concierge therapy allows for expanded access—such as text support, journaling, or resources between sessions—without worrying about what insurance allows.

    5. Investment in Yourself

    • Paying directly helps you prioritize your healing and growth.

    • Many clients find that when they choose therapy as an investment, they commit more fully to the process and see deeper transformation.

    6. Less Red Tape, More Time for You

    • No insurance paperwork, denials, or delays.

    • You get more direct, personalized service and my energy goes into supporting you—not chasing reimbursements. description

  • I offer 3 Continuous Care Plans that vary in intensity of support as well as cost. I developed a tiered model intensionally so that my services would be more accessible to more people.

  • I do not prescribe medication. As part of my commitment to coordinated care, I believe it’s important that all of your providers are working together. If medication is part of your treatment, I’ll collaborate with your doctor, psychiatrist, and other providers to ensure your care supports the whole of you — mind, body, and health.
